Dog park off-leash zones

In nature reserves, we ask you to keep your dog on a leash. This is for the safety of other people and also to avoid startling animals. In these dog off-leash areas, however, your dog is free to roam and play!

 

 Houthalen-Helchteren

Kelchterhoef - Ten Haagdoorn

The dog off-leash area is located near the parking lot at 'De Plas', Binnenvaartstraat, Houthalen-Helchteren. Only the orange route passes through here. If you're following the yellow and blue routes, you will need to take a small detour at 'Hoeve Mieneke'.

Abdijhoeve Kelchterhoef

Located in Houthalen-Helchteren, Kelchterhoefstraat 7.

Donderslagweg

Dog off-leash area near the parking lot of the Ten Haagdoornheide nature reserve, located in Houthalen-Helchteren.

Hengelhoef - Ten Haagdoorn

Dog off-leash area at the parking lot on Donderslagweg, Houthalen-Helchteren. Only the orange route passes through here.

At the visitor center of Limburgs Landschap.

 

Zonhoven

De Teut

• Dog off-leash area 1 along the purple and yellow walking routes. This area is located at the starting point Holsteenbron on Hengelhoefseweg.
• Dog off-leash area 2 at the parking lot on Teutseweg where the green and blue walking routes start.

Hasselt

Bokrijk-Kiewit

There is a dog off-leash field at the Kiewit Domain, Putvennestraat 108, Hasselt.

 

Abdijsite Herkenrode

A 2-hectare dog off-leash area at the back of the parking lot at the Herkenrode Abbey, Herkenrodeabdij 4, Hasselt.

A little further along Gierkensstraat, between the Prinsenhof and the Herkenrode Nature Reserve, there is another dog off-leash area next to a playground.

 

Cultuurcentrum Hasselt

In the Stadspark Hasselt, there is a dog off-leash field near Albrecht Rodenbachstraat, not far from the cultural center.

Dauteweyers-Dorpsbemden

Dog off-leash area at the starting point Demerstrand, Stationsstraat 27, Diepenbeek.

 

Demerstrand

There is a dog off-leash field at Demerstrand, in Diepenbeek. It is located on the former athletics track.

Cosmogolempark

In Cosmogolempark, there is a dog off-leash area located between Dieplaan and Europalaan.

A 25-are dog off-leash area at Domain Bovy, Galgeneinde 22, Heusden.

 

Kasteel Meylandt - Mangelbeek

At Kasteel Meylandt, Meylandtlaan 20, Heusden-Zolder, there is a 25-are dog off-leash area.
